Five Fixes To Turn Clicks Into Booked Calls

For Benny Ulloa, SAG Hospitality Brokers. Ranked by how much money each one recovers. Based on the live 9-video campaign: $596 spent, 255 page visits, 3 opt-ins, 1 booked call.

$596 /call
Cost per booked call
2 to 11 Oct

In one line

The ads get cheap, interested clicks ($1.81 each). The opt-in page turns only 1.2% of visitors into leads. Fix the page first, then fix the tracking, then put the budget on the 3 videos that are working.

01

Strip the Funnels.com and therapy content off the opt-in page

What is wrong

255 people loaded sellmyhospitalitybusiness.com/start and 3 opted in. Half the page belongs to another business: a Funnels.com sales section, 12 Shaqir Hussyin testimonials with income claims, a "Free Training + Funnel Discovery" button, a "FUNNELS.com is for sale" notice and Funnels.com legal links. A stray block also claims "Clients Achieve Sobriety Within 90 Days". The ad promises a valuation, the page offers a training video.

The fix

Delete everything that is not SAG. Lead with "Find out what your Pennsylvania hospitality business is really worth" and the free discovery call, with the training as the bonus. Keep Benny's 30 years, the 40,000+ buyers and the three PA testimonials.

Expected impact

At a 10% opt-in rate, the same $596 would have produced about 25 opt-ins instead of 3. If 1 in 3 still books, that is about 8 booked calls instead of 1.

02

Make every booked call count in Meta

What is wrong

The booked call event (Schedule) does fire on the thank-you page: 4 times since 2 Oct. Meta credited only 1 to the ads. It fires from the browser only, with no server-side copy, so ad blockers and iPhones lose bookings, and Meta optimises on a fraction of the truth.

The fix

Turn on the Conversions API for the SAG funnel (the GHL Meta integration) for Lead and Schedule, with deduplication. Ask Benny how many discovery calls are on his calendar since 2 Oct and whether they showed up.

Expected impact

Meta sees up to 4 times more booked calls on the same spend, learns faster and finds more people like the bookers. We also get the true cost per call.

03

Back the 3 winning videos and cut the slow ones

What is wrong

$60 a day is split across 3 ad sets, each trying to learn from 1 booked call in 10 days. Inside them Meta spent $109 on V9 at $4.21 a click while V3, the cheapest video at $0.72 a click, got only $38.

The fix

One ad set, $60 a day. Run V8 (Proof, the angle that booked the call), V3 (confidentiality hook) and V2 (cost of selling low hook) as separate ads with their best headline and text ("Know Your Real Number" had a 6.0% click rate). Pause V9, V7 and V1. Optimise for the opt-in until bookings pass 10 a week, then switch back to booked calls.

Expected impact

About $183 every 10 days moves off videos costing $3 to $5 a click onto videos costing $0.72 to $2.43. More signal per ad set means Meta exits learning sooner.

04

Run SAG ads as SAG, not Restaurantify

What is wrong

The ads are posted by the "Restaurantify" Facebook Page and Instagram, in the Restaurantify ad account, on Restaurantify's Pixel. That pixel also collects Restaurantify webinar leads from restaurantify.com. A seller sees one brand on the ad and another on the page, and the data mixes two businesses.

The fix

Create or connect a SAG Hospitality Brokers Facebook Page and Instagram, run the ads from it, and give the SAG funnel its own pixel. Ideally move SAG into its own ad account.

Expected impact

More trust at the moment of the click, a clean audience for retargeting sellers, and booking data that is SAG only.

05

Turn off Audience Network

What is wrong

Game and app placements bought 165 clicks and 120 of the 255 page views for $16.67, with zero leads. It makes the page look busier than it is.

The fix

Use Facebook and Instagram placements only.

Expected impact

Small saving, but honest numbers: the real opt-in rate from Facebook and Instagram is 2.2%, and every page fix can be measured cleanly.
